Cricket Match between the Vice Chancellor Team and Alumni Team (April 12/13/14, 2023)
Greetings from the Office of Alumni Affairs.
As part of the Centenary Year celebrations of University of Delhi, a Cricket Match between the Vice Chancellor Team and Alumni Team is proposed to be held at Rugby Stadium, North Campus, University of Delhi. Each team would comprise of 16 players (mixed-gender), with the Vice Chancellor Team comprising of the Teaching Staff, Non-Teaching staff and Officials of the Colleges and University. The Alumni Team would comprise of alumni of the university. The Winning Team would be awarded with a Trophy. A token of appreciation would also be given to all the players.
The proposed date for the Cricket Match is for one day (12th /13 th / 14th April 2023). The Match will be held in the evening hours under the Floodlights in the Rugby Stadium. Playing kits would be provided to all players. High Tea/Refreshment will be served during/after the Match.
Delhi University Sports Council would be happy to provide logistic arrangements with respect to selection and training venue for the Alumni Team for the Cricket Match.

Felicitation of our distinguished Alumnus, Prof Chennupati Jagadish by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof Yogesh Singh on 05th May, 2022 at 3 p.m.
Prof Jagadish has received Australia’s highest civilian honor, AC, Companion of the Order of Australia, for his contributions to physics and engineering. He has been elected as the next President of the Australian Academy of Science. He is an alumnus of Dept of Physics and Astrophysics and is presently a Distinguished Professor and Head of Semiconductor Optoelectronics and Nanotechnology Group in the Research School of Physics, Australian National University.

प्रोफेसर जगदीश को भौतिकी और इंजीनियरिंग में उनके योगदान के लिए ऑस्ट्रेलिया का सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान, एसी, कंपेनियन ऑफ द ऑर्डर ऑफ ऑस्ट्रेलिया मिला है। उन्हें ऑस्ट्रेलियन एकेडमी ऑफ साइंस के अगले अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया है। वह भौतिकी और खगोल भौतिकी विभाग के पूर्व छात्र हैं और वर्तमान में ऑस्ट्रेलियाई राष्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के भौतिकी अनुसंधान स्कूल में एक विशिष्ट प्रोफेसर और सेमीकंडक्टर ऑप्टोइलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और नैनो टेक्नोलॉजी समूह के प्रमुख हैं।
